About David Welsh

As a Marine, David recognizes the importance of discipline and leadership and applies those qualities every day while working with clients. Inspired by his father, who also worked in financial services, David began his career in 1994 as a Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch. David is passionate about counseling people on their path to and through retirement, along with all of life’s milestones. His clients often describe his approach as personal and customized, all while addressing their top concerns and priorities. In 2009, David joined Morgan Stanley where he currently serves clients and manages a branch office.

David and his team base their client relationship on planning, which provides them with a road map of addressing the important issues for the client and the myriad life events that come at us all. His main responsibility on the team is client investments and plan implementation. Working alongside Jennifer, who focuses more on financial planning for clients, the two of them lean into their strengths and bring meaningful solutions to their clients.

Over the course of his career, David has worked with his clients to help grow and protect their wealth, as well as preserve that wealth for their families. David lives in New Smyrna Beach with his wife, Lauren. He has three grown sons, a stepdaughter, and a young son. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as many outdoor activities.

About Jennifer Richardson

A native to the Daytona Beach area, Jennifer began her career in the financial services industry in 1997 with a local independent firm, which is where she found her passion for financial planning. In 2006, she graduated from the College for Financial Planning and earned the Certified Financial Planner designation that same year.

Jennifer was thrilled to join Morgan Stanley in 2013. Her comprehensive knowledge and experience show in her passion for working with families to achieve their unique goals. Jennifer strives to establish strong relationships with her clients and builds thorough plans for each of them. Using a comprehensive, supportive, and strategic approach, Jennifer has the skills and experience necessary to create financial plans based on each clients’ goals, objectives, and risk tolerance. In addition to this, she collaborates with insurance agents, attorneys, and CPAs of clients to help them paint a complete picture of their finances.

Jennifer and her husband, Tim, have a son, Jonah. An avid reader, Jennifer is a member of two book clubs. She loves spending time on the water and going to beautiful local beaches with her family, friends, and beloved pets.

About April Markes

April has called Florida home for the past 25 years after growing up in the Northeast. She began her college career in Paralegal Studies at Daytona State College where she was chosen by a Professor to fill a role in a local attorney’s office. From there, April worked her way up to Office Manager and ultimately spent 14 years in that position. Since 2010, April crossed over into the financial services industry, serving as a licensed Service Assistant at a local Wealth Management Firm and spending the last 5 years handling all wire requests for 13 branches for a local Title Company. She was excited to start her career with Morgan Stanley.

On a personal note, April enjoys many things during her time away from the office. This includes spending time and taking trips with a close-knit group of friends and family, singing, reading, and making sure her new puppy, Remy, is spoiled.

About Kristy L. Saunders

Kristy has worked in the financial services industry for more than 25 years. She began her career with Smith Barney in 1997 as a Wire Operator and has worked her way up to a fully licensed Portfolio Associate. She coordinates the team's overall day-to-day operations, ensuring a high level of service for our clients. Kristy and her husband Corey have 2 children together, Codey and Kylee. In her free time, Kristy enjoys time with her family, working out, spending time on the water, outdoor activities and traveling.

About Mia Young

Mia is a Deland native, graduating from Deland High School and going on to receive her college education at Stetson University. Mia majored in finance with a concentration in Financial Planning and minored in Business Law. After graduation, Mia accepted an opportunity to work as a real estate appraiser, specializing in Eminent Domain appraisals. She worked in the appraisal industry for two years. Mia joined Morgan Stanley in 2021 and was excited to begin her career in the Financial Services industry. She hopes to utilize the knowledge from her education and passion for Financial Planning to build trust and strengthen client relationships. In her free time, Mia loves to do many outdoor activities. She is an avid CrossFitter, loves to spend time with family and friends, travel and go to the beach to name a few!
