About Me
Catherine is dedicated to provide first-class service to clients, and help clients access Morgan Stanley’s vast world-leading resources for their distinct needs, such as intellectual capital, lending services, family office resources, Capital Markets interactions, and workplace solutions including corporate retirement plan, financial wellness education, and stock plan administration.
Catherine joined Morgan Stanley in 2016 after spending 9 years at Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s Investment Bank headquarter in New York. During her tenure there, she was in fixed income trading and investment banking divisions, serving institutional asset managers, corporations, and municipality issuers. In 2020 and 2021 she was named to the Morgan Stanley’s Pacesetter’s Club, a global recognition program for Financial Advisors who, early in their career, have demonstrated the highest professional standards and first class client service.
Catherine earned her bachelor’s and master’s degree in Physics in China, and received her master’s degree in Operations Research from University of Florida, and MBA from New York University, Stern School of Business. Born and raised in China, Catherine is fluent in Mandarin and English. Catherine travels in U.S., Canada and Asia often to visit clients.
- Along with being an International Client Advisor (ICA), Catherine has recently become a National Strategic Partner (NSP) at Morgan Stanley and a full member of the NSP network. As an NSP, she will work closely with financial advisors at the firm from across the world to help create solutions and service models that ultimately improve the client experience at Morgan Stanley.

Certified Financial Planner, CFP®
- Earned December 9th, 2020
- The Certified Financial Planner designation is the standard of excellence in financial planning. It identifies those who have committed themselves to the highest levels of integrity, competence, professionalism, and diligence when working with clients.
Certified Equity Professional, CEP®
- Earned December 13th, 2021
- The Certified Equity Professional designee is an experienced stock plan professional who can serve as a liaison between all internal and external constituencies, with a strong understanding of corporate and securities law, accounting, taxation, and equity plan design, analysis, and administration.
Certified Retirement Plans Specialist, CRPS®
- Earned September 23rd, 2023
- The Certified Retirement Plans Specialist demonstrates that a designee has focused knowledge on retirement plans and the ability to implement techniques that can be executed into well-structured, company-appropriate retirement plans.
Certified Divorce Financial Analyst, CDFA®
- Earned October 7th, 2023
- The Certified Divorce Financial Analyst designation recognizes an advisors ability to help clients navigate the financial complexities inherent in divorce proceedings.

- A International Client Advisor is a functional title that allows a Financial Advisor to address the wealth-planning needs of non-US resident clients.
Alternative Investments Director, AID
- An Alternative Investment Director demonstrates that the designee has shown meticulous competency in all areas of alternative investing, including private equity, private credit, and hedge funds. The advisor has the knowledge and experience to present alternative investment ideas to qualified investors.
Executive Financial Services Director, EFSD
- The Executive Financial Services Director Designation allows a Financial Advisor to provide guidance on the rules and regulations concerning executives while providing the products and services offered by Morgan Stanley.

Crystal graduated from Georgia State University in 2021 with a Bachelor in Marketing and a Minor in Spanish. She is fluent in mandarin Chinese and Korean. During her spare time, she enjoys hiking, traveling, and watching NBA games.

About Brian Ford
Private Bankers partner with Financial Advisors to develop a specialized approach for managing clients’ cash flow, liquidity and financing needs, leveraging our comprehensive suite of cash management and lending solutions.
Brian Ford began his career in financial services in 2006, and joined Morgan Stanley in 2015 as an Associate Private Banker. Prior to joining the firm, he served as a Regional Private Banker at Wells Fargo, as well as a Financial Advisor at Ameriprise Financial.
Brian is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Management. He and his family reside in Cumming, Georgia. Outside of the office, Brian dedicates his time to developing future leaders in youth athletics, serving as a Coach on his children’s baseball teams. When not on the field, he also enjoys running, traveling, watching sports, and spending time with his family.
About Mark Jansen
Most recently, Mark worked with New York Life in their Advanced Planning Group working with agents and their UHNW clients advising them on estate and legacy planning, business buy sell planning, and succession planning. Prior to New York Life, Mark held similar Advanced Planning Consulting roles in several National financial organizations. He originally started his career in the financial services industry in the tax department of the public accounting firm Grant Thornton. He is known for taking complex ideas and making them easy to understand. Frequently speaking to groups and individuals on estate and business planning, he brings a conversational style that helps to clarify the complex nature of these topics.
Mark received a Bachelor of Science degree from St. John’s University in Collegeville MN, received his JD degree Cum Laude from the University of Minnesota and his CPA license while working at Grant Thornton. He holds a Series 7, 24 and 63 securities licenses. He currently lives in Richmond Virginia with his wife and occasionally one of their 6 children.
