Our Story & Services

How do you protect what you have earned? Have your investment selections been given careful reflection? Are your children ready to manage the money they will inherit and will having that money cause them problems?

These are the kinds of questions that we help our clients work through every day. As a highly experienced team of portfolio managers, financial planners and concierge-level service associates, our goal is to figure out where you are financially and where you want to be — then bridge the gap.

Because every family is different, the strategies, structures and education we employ are perfectly suited to each family’s particular challenges and opportunities. Based on an in-depth understanding of you and your family, we can create a customized plan to help you realize your unique vision of a successful life. By taking this approach, we can help preserve your family’s shared values and help in creating an enduring family legacy, making it more likely that descendants will lead meaningful, fulfilled and engaged lives.

Our clients are discerning professionals, business owners and families who need help managing and ultimately passing along money to their children. Many have been with us for a long time. In fact, we’re honored to serve the third and fourth generation of some clients, guiding them through important
life stages — just as we did for their parents, grandparents and, in some cases, their great grandparents.

We treat you like family because, with families of our own, we understand the financial issues people face during all stages of life. With spouses, children, aging parents and extended family members — there can be a lot to manage. You want the best for everyone, and need to balance today’s interests with the well-being of your family’s financial future.

Working Together

Tab Image
We build wealth management plans from the ground up. This means that we start with the foundation — you. Before we talk about investments, we want a deep understanding of you and your goals. What have you worked hard to achieve? What keeps you up at night? What gets you excited about getting up in the morning? How do you envision life when you retire? We ask these questions and more. Then we create a financial plan tailored to fit your unique needs — a virtual road map that we monitor and adjust as needed.

Deeply committed to a high level of communication with clients, we plan regularly scheduled meetings to review objectives, mitigate risks, and ensure that your financial plan stays aligned with your vision for the future. We believe it’s important for you to understand your plan: to know where your money is invested and why those investment vehicles were chosen. We also coordinate with your attorneys and CPAs for a truly comprehensive wealth management strategy. With this powerful combination, we provide a financial strategy that’s not only coordinated, but comprehensive. It comes down to this: we believe in making financial planning clear and simple. We want you to be comfortable with the process and confident about the decisions you make each step of the way — today, tomorrow and beyond.

Building Generational Wealth
As your family grows and your wealth increases, you may face more subtle and profound wealth management issues. As the demands of your family grow and evolve, you will likely need advisors who have expanded their capabilities.

It’s serious stuff. We know that people are trusting us with their life’s work.
That’s why we like to host client appreciation events. Basically, it’s a good excuse for everyone to get together. We invite all of our clients, and sometimes we’ll even cook (yes, Sanford is quite the grill master). Often, we’ll host discussions on topics you or your loved ones may be going through. Topics might include:
• Wills, Trusts, End-of-Life Decisions
• Politics and Investments
• Medicare and Social Security
• Annual Economic Update
Whatever the subject matter, we like to keep you informed on relevant topics while at the same time letting you know that we are here for you. After all, you have worked hard to build a meaningful life. You deserve a team who is as invested in your future as you are.
Our Clients
Our clients are discerning professionals, business owners and families who need help managing and ultimately passing along money to their children. Many have been with us for a long time. In fact, we’re honored to serve the third and fourth generation of some clients, guiding them through important life stages - just as we did for their parents, grandparents, and in some cases, their great grandparents.

We treat you like family. Because with families of our own, we understand the financial issues people face during all stages of life. With spouses, children, aging parents and extended family members—there can be a lot to manage. You want the best for everyone, and need to balance today’s interests with the well-being of your family’s financial future.

Our Approach to Managing Your Assets

We manage multiple portfolios and utilize a core and satellite approach. Our Tactical Asset Allocation Portfolios serve as a foundation for your custom portfolio. We may custom blend some of our Equity Portfolios or individual bonds to complement your core portfolio. As with many portfolio managers, our goal is to outperform the respective index.

However, we also factor in “the mathematics of a loss” and have developed a strategy that will help to exit the market in longer bear markets. By doing this, our strategy seeks to outperform by missing the big downswings in the markets. This can potentially lower the volatility of our portfolios, which is crucial for many of our clients.

In an effort to enhance return and further diversify risk, for those clients who qualify, we also incorporate allocations to less liquid investments like Private Equity, Private Debt and Private Real Estate. The intention is to seek potentially higher returns as a result of the illiquidity premium, as well as, to participate in return streams that are characteristically different given their significantly longer investment time horizons. Private investments are also often less correlated with the public markets.
