My Story and Services

With over 27 years of industry experience and 24 years as a licensed investment professional, Brooks has focused his talents on serving the many investment needs of our clients.

He is responsible for designing and implementing the investment and retirement plan strategies designed to help our clients attain the retirement lifestyle they aspire to achieve and maintain.

After graduating from Wofford College in 2000, with a BA degree in Business Economics, Brooks began his career with Morgan Stanley (predecessor firm) in Atlanta, GA. After two years as a sales assistant, Brooks relocated to Spartanburg with his wife, Carolyn, and joined The Crenshaw Group at Morgan Stanley in 2003.

Brooks & Carolyn’s family includes two boys and his hobbies include camping, hiking and fishing, along with being a private pilot.

Active in the community, he has served as board member for the Mobile Meals of Spartanburg, Spartanburg Art Museum, Hub City Writers Project, and Spartanburg Humane Society, member of the Spartanburg Downtown Airport Advisory Committee and as a Deacon at First Presbyterian Church of Spartanburg.

    You and I begin with an informal conversation to understand your financial concerns and to determine how I can add value. If we all agree to move forward, we'll schedule our next meeting and request important financial information.

    You and I continue the dialogue by fostering an in-depth conversation where I learn about the values that shape your decisions and identify any unique circumstances. I also review the documents you've prepared and define your priorities.

    Analysis and Plan Development

    Here, I utilize proprietary financial planning tools to develop a personalized and detailed plan with recommendations to help you grow, preserve and transfer your wealth.

    Implementation

    In this step, I present appropriate strategies that are designed to work together to achieve your goals. Upon your approval, I'll open new accounts for you at Morgan Stanley and initiate my investment recommendations. I'll also begin to implement other strategies we've discussed. These often encompass tax minimization strategies, as well as risk management and estate planning techniques.

As I begin to execute each strategy, I'll set up tools so you have immediate access to your account information. And because markets and personal needs evolve over time, I'll set up ongoing meetings to ensure your plan remains on schedule to achieve your goals.
