To help accomplish this I've developed an in-depth step by step process to keep us on the same page and working in lockstep with each other.

We start with a conversation so we can gain a clear understanding of where a client and their family or business is coming from and where they hope to go. We ask productive questions and listen carefully to the responses to gain an understanding for what is most important in the lives of those that we work with.

After working with you to get the full picture of your finances, it's time to explore all options to help you achieve your goals. Leveraging the tools and support available at Morgan Stanley to present you with a multitude of opportunities and pathways to help you on your journey towards your goals.
Implementation
Once we've worked out what will be appropriate for you, it's time to help you implement strategies. Utilizing the vast resources at Morgan Stanley, we track and fine tune adjustments as needed to help make sure you're adaptable in the ever changing unpredictability of life.
Updating and Continuing Education
After we feel like we have an understanding for what outcomes a family or business is trying to reach we spend a great deal of time building a customized account structure aimed directly at seeking to accomplish those goals. Once we feel we have a presentable strategy, we shift our focus to educating our clients on our recommendations. It’s our goal that those we are working with understand why we are making a specific recommendation. After a plan is implemented we review, revisit, and seek to improve upon what’s in place on an ongoing basis.

About Eric Townsend

Eric Townsend is a Private Banker serving Morgan Stanley Wealth Management offices in Iowa, Nebraska, and Missouri.

Private Bankers partner with Financial Advisors to develop a specialized approach for managing clients’ cash flow, liquidity and financing needs, leveraging our comprehensive suite of cash management and lending solutions.

Eric began his career in financial services in 1992 and joined Morgan Stanley in 2017. His professional experience includes more than 25 years as both a Financial Advisor and Private Banker.

Eric is a graduate of the University of Texas at Dallas, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Finance. He and his family live in Urbandale, Iowa. Outside of the office, Eric donates his time to Habitat for Humanity, St Jude Children’s Research Hospital and ChildServe, an organization dedicated to improving the health and well-being of children through clinical, home, and community-based programs and services.

About Mamta Shah

Mamta Shah is the Trust Specialist based in Chicago, covering the Midwest Region. Morgan Stanley provides a full array of personal and institutional trust services to high net worth clients of the firm. Mamta’s responsibilities include educating Financial Advisors and their clients on the open architecture trust service model and helping them identify opportunities to leverage the trust partners on the platform.

Before joining Trust Services in 2010, she was the Wealth Analyst with the Chicago based Wealth Planning Center at Morgan Stanley. Mamta was responsible for providing information and education on a full range of income and estate tax topics and concerns.

Prior to joining the Planning Center team in 2006, Mamta was Vice President of an Independent Investment Advisory Firm. She worked closely with the clients of the firm on a variety of financial planning and investment advisory services.

Mamta obtained her bachelor’s degree from Babson College with a major in Finance/Entrepreneurship. Mamta is a licensed CPA and holds a CFP® designation, She has been in the financial services industry since 1999. She is Series 7, 63, 65 and life/health insurance licensed. She is a member of the AICPA and the Illinois CPA Society. She lives in Chicago with her family.
