My Story and Services

Since joining the financial services sector in 2008, Brendan has been assisting clients of all ages in addressing their most pressing financial concerns and achieving their personal goals. By putting himself in his clients’ shoes, Brendan is able to offer a personalized and disciplined approach to wealth management that is based on each client’s individual values, objectives and priorities. He connects with clients by building a strong foundation of trust and taking the time to understand their unique circumstances before diving into the numbers. In addition to delivering a high level of service, transparency and communication, Brendan is dedicated to working closely with his clients’ other professional advisors – accountants, tax attorneys and estate planning specialists – to deliver comprehensive wealth management strategies. He enjoys interacting with clients and helping them work through issues that may not be directly related to their investments, but still have an impact on their financial future.

Having entered the financial services industry in October 2008, in the midst of the Global Financial Crisis, Brendan understands the importance and challenge of navigating complex markets, while setting expectations and managing risk. Fascinated by numbers and analytical by nature, Brendan earned dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Finance and Management from Florida State. He returned to his hometown of Tampa, FL when he joined Morgan Stanley. In his spare time, Brendan enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, and watching his favorite college and professional sports teams.

9Investors should consider many factors before deciding which 529 plan is appropriate. Some of these factors include: the Plan’s investment options and the historical investment performance of these options, the Plan’s flexibility and features, the reputation and expertise of the Plan’s investment manager, Plan contribution limits and the federal and state tax benefits associated with an investment in the Plan. Some states, for example, offer favorable tax treatment and other benefits to their residents only if they invest in the state’s own Qualified Tuition Program. Investors should determine their home state’s tax treatment of 529 plans when considering whether to choose an in-state or out-of-state plan. Investors should consult with their tax or legal advisor before investing in any 529 Plan or contact their state tax division for more information. Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC does not provide tax and/or legal advice. Investors should review a Program Disclosure Statement, which contains more information on investment options, risk factors, fees and expenses and possible tax consequences.
