About Mark E Carroll
Mark Carroll has been with Morgan Stanley for 38 years starting with a college internship in 1984. Later that year, Mark became a regulatory representative for Dean Witter - which soon merged with Morgan Stanley. Mark has experienced both up and down markets, with strategies designed to create and preserve his clients wealth. With Mark at point, The Brea Canyon Group now manages over 500 million in assets (as 6/22/2022). Through dedicated service to their client base, the team is proud of the trust and relationships they have built along the way.
In 1996, Mark received a Certified Financial Planning (C.F.P.) designation from the College of Financial Planning in Denver. In 2006, he became a Certified Investment Management Analyst (C.I.M.A.) from the Wharton School of business at the University of Pennsylvania. Mark lives in Yorba Linda, CA with his wife Lisa, and has enjoyed the privilege of working alongside both of his boys - Derrick and Blake - on his team of five at Morgan Stanley. In his free time, Mark enjoys vacationing in Montana, as well as mountain biking and gardening at home.

About Blake Vincent Hilts
Having grown up around the wealth management business, Blake Hilts certainly fell into place after beginning his career with Morgan Stanley in 2013. His stepfather Mark Carroll has been a role model for this career all along the way.
After graduating from Sonoma State University in 2010, Blake’s professional career expanded through a banking program with US Bank and developed further through a sales role in Tech in Silicon Valley. In 2013 he joined Morgan Stanley as a Financial Advisor where he obtained his Series 7 & 66 securities licenses. After completing the competitive 3 year associate program at Morgan Stanley, Mark Carroll and Blake Hilts joined efforts to start the Brea Canyon Group. Blake’s mission is to build long term multi-generational relationships that help his clients meet their goals through a financial planning and service-oriented approach. Out of the office, Blake enjoys spending time outdoors and traveling with his wife Kaitlin and his son Hunter.

About Derrick Hilts
Derrick is the most recent addition to The Brea Canyon Group. Having been influenced by his stepfather, Mark Carroll, Derrick grew up understanding the importance of education and guidance in maintaining financial independence. His focus is assisting the team with marketing and client engagement. After completing his 5-year Navy enlistment aboard the USS Harry S Truman (CVN-75) in 2012, Derrick moved back to California and joined Siemens Healthcare as a superconductive magnet engineer. In 2021, he joined his brother and stepfather at The Brea Canyon Group at Morgan Stanley. Coming from the healthcare field has given him a unique perspective on the financial industry. Derrick resides in Anaheim Hills, California where he enjoys swimming and hosting barbeques with his wife Chelsey, his daughter Stella, and his son James.
