About Charles Freeman
Chuck is Executive Director and Branch Manager for the Boca Raton, Florida Office. Chuck’s career spans 39 years in the industry holding varied leadership roles throughout the Wealth Management Business.
Prior to this Chuck served as the Northeast Regional Risk Officer. Responsible for the overall Risk assessment, supervision and implementation of the Firm’s supervisory procedures. Before leading the New York Regions Risk Team, Chuck served as Head of Pricing Administration, responsible for all Annual Account, Service and Transactions Fees, revenue optimization, internal and external competitive analysis, Pricing Households, tiered benefits and all the supporting programs. Additionally, Chuck served as Head of the Client Advisory Center for Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. In this role he was responsible for integrating the former Smith Barney Myfi platform into Morgan Stanley and servicing MSSB’s Mass Affluent client Segments. Prior to these roles, Chuck served as Head of National Branch Services, responsible for all Branch Services and Operations, including Transition Management Services, Training and Communications, and National Branch Operations.
Chuck joined Morgan Stanley from Merrill Lynch in July 2006 as the Business Manager for the Northeast Division of Morgan Stanley’s Global Wealth Management. Chuck has over 39 years industry experience, serving in various leadership roles in Branch Management and Home office. He is licensed Series 7, 66, 9, 10 & 31.
Chuck’s financial Services career began in 1984 at Merrill Lynch where he started in Operations as an Order Clerk / Wire operator, continuing his development in Cashiering, Bookkeeping and New Accounts. In 1987 Chuck became the Assistant Operations Manager in the Paramus NJ Complex, and promoted to Operations Manager for the Rochester New York Complex in 1989.
Subsequent roles at Merrill Lynch included the District Service Manager roles in the Stamford CT District, Soundview District, the Greater LOA District based out of Little Rock Arkansas and the Division Service Manager role for the Northeast Division.
Chuck was born in Queens, NY and raised just north of New York City in Rockland County NY. He is graduated from Saint Thomas Aquinas College, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Marketing.
