Azevedo's interest in financial markets is deeply rooted in his family history, with his grandfather, father, and uncle all having successful banking careers in Recife, Brazil, and Geneva, Switzerland. Inspired by their legacy, Azevedo aspired from a young age to work in the financial markets and experience Wall Street firsthand. In 2024, he realized his childhood dream of visiting the NYSE. Azevedo began his career at Banco do Brasil Americas in 2014, working in Banking. In 2017, he transitioned to Wealth Management by joining XP Investments US, LLC, where he spent nearly eight years helping to manage a portfolio exceeding $1.2 billion in assets. In 2024, he began building his own client book, growing it to nearly $150 million before joining Morgan Stanley in 2025.
Born in Recife, Brazil, Azevedo has spent most of his life in Miami, Florida, making him a true Miami native. His family's move to Miami in 1998 was driven by a desire for a safer and more prosperous future in the United States. Fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish, Azevedo offers a global perspective and a deep understanding of diverse markets. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Florida International University, providing a strong foundation for his analytical and strategic approach to financial planning. In his free time, Azevedo enjoys soccer, basketball, winter sports, golf, tennis, F1, traveling, reading, and exploring new restaurants. He is also active in the community, volunteering for causes such as the Special Olympics, Myasthenia Gravis awareness, homelessness alleviation with Igreja Vida com Vida, and children's events with the Vamos Falar Português Foundation, Inc. Most recently he partnered with Global Empowerment Mission to help package goods for hurricane relief for Jamaica and Seed School to help prepare for the new school year.
