Jonathan Berry is a Senior Vice President and Private Wealth Advisor with more than 30 years of experience serving ultra-high-net-worth families, entrepreneurs, and family offices. He works closely with clients to develop tailored wealth strategies designed to preserve capital, manage risk, and support long-term family philanthropic goals.

Jon began his professional journey at the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he earned his undergraduate degree and later served five years as a U.S. Army officer, attaining the rank of captain. Following his military service, Jon transitioned into the private sector with Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), helping large corporations improve operational efficiency through technology.

He went to earn his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and joined J.P. Morgan’s Institutional Fixed Income Group, advising major mutual funds and insurance companies. In 1998, Jon brought his institutional experience to Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management and has since played a key role in building one of the firm’s most established and respected advisory teams.

As a Family Wealth Director at Morgan Stanley, Jon brings extensive experience working with affluent families on their intricate wealth management needs, including legacy planning, family governance, and long-term investment strategy. He also holds the firm’s Alternative Investments Director designation, reflecting his knowledge of alternative investment solutions and their role within his approach.

Mike Laidlaw is a veteran Private Wealth Advisor with nearly 30 years of experience advising corporate executives, entrepreneurs, and multi-generational families. As a co-founder of the Berry Laidlaw Group at Morgan Stanley, he helps clients navigate the complexities of significant wealth with a focus on global strategy, tax-aware investing, and long-term legacy planning.

Originally from Adrian, Michigan, Mike grew up in a multi-generational family farming business where he developed a strong work ethic and long-term perspective. He earned his A.B. in Political Economics from Princeton University, where he was on the football and crew teams. After an injury ended his athletic career, Mike spent a year working at Value Investing Partners in Paris, which sparked his passion for global finance.

He began his career at Goldman Sachs in Chicago and New York before joining Morgan Stanley in 1997. After rotating through the firm’s institutional business, he returned to Chicago to build one of Morgan Stanley’s most established private wealth teams. Today, the group serves clients nationwide, with a strong presence in Chicago, Naples, Scottsdale, Aspen, St. Louis, and Columbus.

Mike is a Family Wealth Director at Morgan Stanley, placing him among an elite group of financial advisors with extensive experience in assisting affluent families with the multigenerational challenges of managing their wealth. He also holds the firm's Alternative Investments Director designation, highlighting his experience in integrating alternative investments into his practice.

Mike remains actively involved with the Princeton alumni community through his leadership with the Princeton Club of Chicago.

Angela is a seasoned wealth management professional with over 30 years of experience supporting highly successful families. At Morgan Stanley, she provides essential operational support including cash flow management, asset allocation implementation, trade execution, and reporting.

She began her career at the Chicago Board of Trade and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, where she developed a strong foundation in financial markets.

Angela later transitioned into wealth management, bringing her expertise and attention to detail to serve clients with complex financial needs. She is known for her reliability, responsiveness, and deep institutional knowledge.

In her current role, she ensures a seamless experience for clients and plays a key role in the day-to-day operations of the team.

Richard plays a key role in delivering high-level support to clients through asset allocation implementation, financial planning, product research, and order execution. He is also involved in prospect development and securities-based lending strategies.

As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP^®), Richard brings a deep understanding of holistic financial planning and is committed to helping clients achieve long-term goals with clarity and confidence.

Before joining Morgan Stanley in 2011, Richard gained valuable experience in the technology sector which sharpened his analytical and problem-solving skills.

He earned his B.A. in Russian with honors from Grinnell College in 2004 and brings a unique blend of technical expertise and client service excellence to the team.
