About Me

Over the years, it has brought me great satisfaction seeing clients achieve their goals for their wealth. To that end, I serve as a disciplined professional competent in advising clients to help organize their financial lives; to build confidence in having a stress-tested plan in place and to have clarity on topics ranging from the management of day-to-day finances all the way to making life-changing financial decisions.

Originally from Silver Spring, MD, I relocated to Charlotte, NC, in 1997 where I attended UNC-Charlotte, earning my degree from the nationally-accredited Belk College of Business. During that time, I enhanced my global view by studying abroad in Costa Rica where I became proficient in Spanish. Today, I focus my passion, capabilities and experience on guiding individuals, families and business owners through a detailed planning process encompassing Goals-based Financial Planning, Retirement Income Planning, Portfolio Design, and Risk Management. I hold the following FINRA licenses: Series 7, 66, and 31, as well as Life and Health insurance, Medicare Supplement & Long Term Care. I am also a certified Notary Public.

Outside of my career, I am proud of having served as a Troop Leader in my son's Boy Scout Troop where he recently achieved the rank of Eagle Scout; I take heart in helping mold our next generation of leaders in becoming responsible, upstanding citizens prepared for the road in life ahead. Over the years, carrying out my faith in the form of annual church-building mission trips has enriched my spirit. I am also actively involved in Rotary International where I served as President of my local club; giving back to my community and volunteering my time and resources in service to others is of great importance to me.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time in the outdoors with my family in the mountains of western North Carolina, kite boarding and taking to the open road on my motorcycle. I live outside of Charlotte, NC, with my wife, son and daughter; they are by far my most treasured assets.

That’s the motto of Rotary International that continues to resonate with me today as much as it did years ago when I first heard it. As important to our wellbeing as the notion of “Work~Life Balance” is this day and age, I seek out opportunities to balance all I do in my work life with my passions and pursuits outside of work including civic and faith-based involvement.
Union West Rotary
Rotary is the perfect outlet for someone looking to give of themselves to do good in their community (and the world, more broadly), while building relationships with like-minded people from all walks of life, all dedicated to the concept of “Service Above Self”. Each month, we partner with Food For Families, a local 501c3 that provides food to local families in need, to sort and pack food for delivery.
Church Building Mission Trips
Starting in 2018, I began traveling annually to Costa Rica with the international mission team at my local church to build churches. Think mixing and pouring concrete, laying cinder block, cutting rebar, etc; hot, noisy, dirty work. It couldn’t be any further from the day-to-day of my professional life, but I’m passionate about it and its possibly some of the most fulfilling work I’ve ever done. It truly fills my cup. Witnessing and contributing to an actual church growing from an empty lot to a lovely building with a thriving, grateful congregation is truly a personal life highlight for me and something I carry with me every day.
