Financial planning is the roadmap to your financial future, helping you set goals and make informed decisions. Here's a look at my planning process and how we'll work together.

    Icon Image
    Step 1: Introduction

We begin with an informal discussion to understand your financial concerns and determine how we can add value. If you agree to move forward, we'll schedule our next meeting and request important financial information.

    Icon Image
    Step 2: Discovery

We continue the dialogue by fostering an in-depth conversation where we learn about the values that shape your decisions and identify any unique circumstances. We'll also review the documents you've prepared and define your priorities.

    Icon Image
Step 3: Analysis & Plan Development

Here, we utilize proprietary financial planning tools to develop a personalized and detailed plan with recommendations to help you grow and preserve your wealth.

    Icon Image
    Step 4: Implementation

In this step, we'll present appropriate strategies that are designed to work together to achieve your goals. Upon your approval, we will initiate the investment recommendations and begin to implement the additional strategies we've discussed. These often encompass risk management and estate planning.

    Icon Image
    Step 5: Ongoing Service

Committed to premium service, our focus is on developing a relationship that provides special value to you and your family. As we begin to execute each strategy, we'll set up tools so you have immediate access to your account information. We acknowledge that markets and personal needs evolve over time, so we'll set up ongoing meetings to ensure your plan remains on schedule to achieve your goals.

Awards and Designations

Our accolades showcase our commitment to your financial success.

    Icon Image
    Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®)

The CFP® designation is awarded to advisors with skiled focus in the areas of Education, Investment, Tax, Retirement, Estate, and Insurance planning. Professionals with their CFP® must have years of experience in financial planning services and pass a comprehensive exam before they are awarded this designation. A CFP® is held to strict ethical standards to ensure financial planning recommendations are in the best interest of their clients.

    Icon Image
    CLTC® Certification for Long-Term Care

The CLTC® Certification for Long-Term Care educates professionals in the fields of insurance, financial services, law and accounting about the severe consequences a need for care over an extended period of years would have, not on their client, but on the emotional, physical and financial wellbeing of those the client loves. The goal is to give these professionals the proper skill set to discuss those consequences, offer a plan to mitigate them, and when appropriate, recommend long-term care insurance as a funding source for that plan.

Accredited Domestic Partnership AdvisorSM - ADPA®

The Accredited Domestic Partnership AdvisorSM, or ADPA® program, is the only designation program of its kind that prepares financial professionals to address the unique planning needs specific to unmarried, coupled persons. This designation helps gain an understanding of how planning differences for domestic partners compared to legally married couples manifest themselves in the individual domains of financial planning.

Chartered Retirement Plans SpecialistSM - CRPS®

In his practice, Paul draws upon his combined life and professional experience to help guide clients through the many challenges that are part of the financial planning cycle, including:

• Diversification of a concentrated stock portfolio*
• Maximizing defined benefit plan options
• Advice in transitioning to a new job
• Healthcare planning issues

Paul believes in a holistic approach to personal finance – and is concerned with everything that could impact you. He is open to clients that are seeking a supportive relationship from their finance professionals.

Initial consultations are complimentary as we explore if we are a good fit for your needs.

*Diversification does not guarantee a profit or protect against loss in a declining financial market.

7Investors should consider many factors before deciding which 529 plan is appropriate. Some of these factors include: the Plan’s investment options and the historical investment performance of these options, the Plan’s flexibility and features, the reputation and expertise of the Plan’s investment manager, Plan contribution limits and the federal and state tax benefits associated with an investment in the Plan. Some states, for example, offer favorable tax treatment and other benefits to their residents only if they invest in the state’s own Qualified Tuition Program. Investors should determine their home state’s tax treatment of 529 plans when considering whether to choose an in-state or out-of-state plan. Investors should consult with their tax or legal advisor before investing in any 529 Plan or contact their state tax division for more information. Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC does not provide tax and/or legal advice. Investors should review a Program Disclosure Statement, which contains more information on investment options, risk factors, fees and expenses and possible tax consequences.
