Meet Ann Ries

Financial decisions are rarely just about money. They’re about life transitions, family priorities, career changes, retirement goals, and the moments that shape our future.

For more than two decades, Ann Ries has helped individuals and families navigate those important crossroads with clarity and confidence. She is especially passionate about working with women, individuals experiencing major life transitions, and those seeking a thoughtful advisor to help bring every piece of their financial life together.

Ann believes true financial planning goes far beyond investments. Her process begins by listening—understanding each client’s goals, concerns, and unique circumstances. From retirement and cash flow planning to estate considerations, tax strategies, and legacy conversations, she helps clients connect the dots and create a plan designed around their lives, not a one-size-fits-all solution.

Drawing on her background in accounting and extensive planning experience, Ann enjoys digging into the details that are often overlooked. She takes pride in helping clients organize complex financial decisions into a clear, actionable strategy that evolves as life changes.

Since joining Morgan Stanley in 2005, Ann has earned the CFP®, CRPS®, and CDFA® designations, reflecting her commitment to comprehensive planning and ongoing education. She serves as a Vice President and Financial Advisor and has been actively involved in the Colorado Springs community, including serving as Past President of the Colorado Springs Estate Planning Council.

Ann’s passion for helping families extends beyond her work with clients. Through her involvement with Early Connections, she supports initiatives focused on early childhood development and strengthening families during some of the most important years of a child’s life. The organization’s mission resonates deeply with her belief that meaningful planning, whether financial or personal, can create opportunities that last for generations.

A Colorado Springs resident since 1984, Ann enjoys spending time outdoors, volunteering in her community, and making memories with family and friends.
