Hiring an advisor requires you to take a leap of faith that the advisor you choose will provide proper guidance and oversight of your finances. Without a referral from someone you trust, it can be very difficult to judge an advisor’s trustworthiness. To make it easier, we employ a variety of approaches to earn and manage trust proactively, involving objective and tangible criteria. These include professional credentials, standards of ethical and fiduciary conduct, and the pricing and quality of products and services.

    One way we build trust is by charging reasonable fees that are competitive and fair, and being transparent in how we are paid. Rather than charging a commission every time a trade is placed, which could be perceived to encourage excessive trade recommendations, we believe conflicts of interest are eliminated by working under an asset-based fee structure. Vanguard estimates that the average annual fee paid to advisors is 1.07%, and can be much higher for smaller size accounts. Our clients pay annual advisory fees of 1% or less; sometimes much less. In this way, everyone benefits from strong performance and prudent growth over time. Our goal is always to cultivate long-term relationships that can help clients meet their goals, and we believe delivering a superior client experience at the lowest cost we can is the best way to achieve this.

    As Warren Buffet famously said, “Price is what you pay. Value is what you get.” We understand that value is very subjective, so we offer solutions ranging from fully digital to full service, at prices reflective of the level of engagement needed.

    While most of our clients have already achieved some financial success, more modestly sized clients looking for goals-based asset allocations with regular rebalancing have a great solution available with Morgan Stanley Access Investing. This fully digital wealth management platform offers anytime, anywhere access to a diversified portfolio geared towards achieving your goals.

    Not all advice can be automated, however, and many investors prefer an end-to-end client service experience. The expertise and specialized skills of a CFP® provide a differentiated degree of value when it comes to higher added-value services such as customized retirement income strategies, behavioral coaching, estate and business succession/sale planning.

      Our financial industry qualifications such as Certified Financial Planner™ and Certified Investment Management Analyst® let investors know that my partners and I have expertise beyond that of most advisors, and give them confidence in our ability to conceive, execute, and reassess a solid financial plan. Only those who have fulfilled CFP Board’s rigorous requirements, including approximately 1,000 hours of study, passing the comprehensive CFP® Certification Exam, and clearing a professional fitness background check can become CFP® professionals.

      The credentials my partners and I offer clients go beyond professional certifications. Our value is equally based on our relationship-management capabilities and investment knowledge, which only come from experience and judgment.

Unlike advisors at banks using sales contests and incentive payments to open accounts and push unnecessary products, our product agnostic compensation model allows us to recommend investments solely based on their merits. When we are engaged in an advisory relationship with clients, our compensation comes only from the client, so we are always free to find the solution that best achieves the client's objectives at the lowest cost.

        Advisory clients also have peace of mind knowing that no actions are taken without their full understanding and agreement beforehand. While being proactive with recommendations, we believe it is important to take the time to speak with clients to make changes and decisions together, as respected partners.
