Welcome

Adam Stanford is a Financial Advisor, Portfolio Manager, and Financial Planning Specialist at the Morgan Stanley Asheville Branch Office. He has over 11 years of experience in the financial services industry and has been with the firm since 2012.

From an early age, the power of investing gave Adam the passion and desire to purse a business degree in college with every intention of joining the wealth management field as a career. He studied International Business with a minor in Spanish at The College of Charleston, starting his career in sales helping shape his professional work ethic. With a CFP®, Adam works with a goals first approach, taking the time to understand all his clients deeply and uncover their financial goals which determine what financial tools are needed to achieve these goals. Once a sound plan is in place, it is monitored and amended on a regular basis as client goals and life circumstances undoubtedly change overtime.

Adam treats his clients as if they are family, making their financial wellbeing his top priority. He uses a disciplined investment approach and the financial planning process to help clients define their goals and make informed, confident decisions about their plans for retirement and about the growth and preservation of their estates.

Outside of the office Adam has devoted hours of volunteer time to Manna Food Bank, and Habitat for Humanity in hopes of making a better community, and also serves as a part of the executive council on the finance committee at Covenant Community Church. Adam leads an active lifestyle and enjoys spending time with his family, having two kids. In his free time Adam enjoys playing golf, exercising, and spending time exploring the mountains with his family.

Working With You

Individuals work hard to build wealth in pursuit of a meaningful life for themselves and their family. Your achievements reflect substantial effort, and I will work just as hard on your behalf, committing our experience and skills to helping you achieve your unique goals for your wealth. Moreover, I will support you and your strategy by accessing the resources and perspective of one of the world’s largest financial firms.
    Icon Image
    Setting Your Financial Objectives
I will begin our relationship by listening-discussing a range of topics related to your financial needs and investment objectives: long‐term life goals and expectations, possible major purchases, and legacy and charitable goals, if you have them. I will discuss your current financial resources, your time horizon for various goals, your tolerance for risk-even how your liabilities are structured. If you own a business, I also might discuss your current cash management needs.

    Developing Your Wealth Management Strategy
Based on your input, my advice can help address income and retirement planning, asset preservation, investment management, strategic borrowing, wealth transfer and business succession. Of course, your wealth plan will include an asset allocation strategy designed to help achieve your financial goals in light of your risk tolerance and investment time horizon.

    Implementing Your Strategy
After I have discussed and refined your strategy, I will work closely with you to bring the elements to life. Should we decide together that outside money managers are appropriate for you, I will draw on in‐depth research and analysis to help you select from the hundreds of investment management firms available to you. If you prefer to invest in individual securities, I can help identify specific stocks, bonds and other securities that may be appropriate for your portfolio. Whatever approach we decide on, I will help you keep your strategy on track.

    Reviewing Your Performance
You will receive a quarterly review that outlines your portfolio’s performance, helping you track progress toward your objectives. Moreover, when your personal situation or market conditions change significantly, I can suggest appropriate adjustments to your portfolio to help it remain aligned with your goals.
