About David Pendleton
My career in the financial service industry began in 1979. I am currently an Executive Director, Financial Advisor and Senior Portfolio Manager. Throughout my history in the industry, I’ve built a wealth management team highly focused on helping clients grow assets conservatively and consistently. We truly believe in providing an exceptional level of service for our clients and strive to be the best at everything we do for them.
I currently serve on the Board of Directors of Frankenmuth Mutual Insurance Company, the St. Lorenz Foundation, and the Frankenmuth Community Foundation. For twenty years, I served on the Frankenmuth Board of Education, thirteen of those as president. I served a four-year term as vice president and then president of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church. Previously, I have served as president and board member of the Frankenmuth Rotary Club, on the board of the Frankenmuth Chamber of Commerce, and the Saginaw Valley State University Board of Fellows.
I have been a Rotarian in Frankenmuth for over 36 years. My wife and I have hosted many international exchange students and visitors over the past thirty plus years. I enjoy reading, traveling, playing tennis and spending time with my four children and five grandchildren. Much of my free time is spent being a ‘superfan’ at my grandkids many sporting events and performances.

About Kelly Baumgartner
When and how did you first start earning money? For me, I was about eight years old, hoeing weeds out of soybean fields during the summers on the family farm. The sun was hot, the rows of crops seemed endless and, the patience required to remove patches of weeds while also being careful not to damage the crop was necessary. To distract me from those things I listened to my favorite music on a cassette player, eventually upgrading to a portable CD player….with Anti-Skip protection! While I could complain about the occasional deer fly that wouldn’t leave me alone or, how my friends didn’t have to work, this job was the beginning of my journey, preparing me for what I do today as a financial advisor.
My siblings and I were paid each week for the money we earned. Without delay, our dad promptly scheduled a trip to the bank with passbooks in hand. Dad would remind us how to identify our account balances and would be sure to get us excited about guessing how much interest we earned since our last deposit. We walked into the bank, up to the teller, proudly handed the teller our passbook with our newly, hard earned cash to deposit. The teller would process the deposit, put our passbook under a printer, which would then reveal how much interest we earned along with our new account balance, the climax of the outing! It was a fun, happy and exciting experience each time. After the deposit was complete, we were again reminded that the only way to get free interest is by saving money. This process repeated itself over and over for years, each time I understood the concept of saving and compound growth more clearly. In fact, saving was so instilled in me that I didn’t realize I could withdraw money from my bank account until I was in high school!
While in high school I worked at a local Credit Union to gain some real-life experience. During this time, it became clear to me that I would pursue a career as a financial advisor. With my professional mission and purpose identified, and in line with my personal interests, I focused all of my college education and certification work on learning how to make my money continue to grow and ultimately, how to help others do the same.
Today, I have the great privilege of collaborating with clients, families and businesses in an effort to help grow and preserve wealth. My team and I have built, and continue to grow, a successful practice based on dedication and genuine care for the clients that we get to serve each day.

About Shanna Jacobs
In June of 2020, in the heart of a pandemic, I began my career in the wealth management industry. Joining the Pendleton Baumgartner Group at Morgan Stanley as a Financial Advisor was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I feel so blessed to be in the position to positively impact our client’s lives. I have found my niche in financial planning and pride myself on relationship development and providing superior service to our clients.
I love seeing all the details of a financial plan come together and one of my greatest joys is serving as a guide for some of the most important decisions in our client’s lives. Not only am I a member of a family-oriented team with faith at the forefront, but I am also surrounded by strong, caring, and successful team members. This has paved the way for my teammates and me to continue to grow a successful financial practice.
When I am not meeting with clients, you will find me as an unofficial Uber driver for my three children. I may also be at the soccer fields or in the gym, watching my kids play soccer, basketball and volleyball and living their best lives. My husband and I attend St. Lorenz Lutheran Church with our family. In my free time, I serve as the secretary of our local travel soccer club, coach my daughter’s travel soccer team and occasionally get to sneak in a few minutes to read or go for a run.
